Performers perfectly integrated with synthetic virtual environments. Narratives unfolded smoothly with a seamless transition of different scenarios and time, bringing an engaging experience to audiences.
The show showcased the benefits of virtual production. It's an emerging technology merging virtual content with the real world.
Wang Yiqing, deputy head of Siming district said the recently-released Several Opinions on Further Promoting the Development of the Film and Television Industry in Siming District will support the development of the virtual production industry in the district.
She Yingying, deputy director of the Digital Media Technology Department of the Film Academy of Xiamen University, said this demonstration, taking only 10 days to make, is a successful example of industry-university-research collaboration.
Guests, including industry representatives and famous scholars, were quite convinced that virtual productions will be the next big thing.
Peng Cheng, founder and CEO of EcoPlants Technology, believes that the combination of high-precision 3D models and high-accuracy scanning technology, cloud architecture and AI technology will subvert the traditional content production process, and greatly reduce the cost of content creation and improve quality.
Participants discussed how such technologies will reform the traditional film and television production process, and explored possible ways of applying these advanced solutions in the cultural tourism industry.
